K, Nintendo isn't going to stick to making games only. It wouldn't make sense. They're pretty much head-to-head with Xbox in terms of sales (Xbox leads by about 1.4 million worldwide, but has NO Japanese support). Nintendo's president has stated himself that the day Nintendo stops making consoles is the day they leave the industry for good. They post a profit on a yearly basis. There's no reason whatsoever that would indicate that they follow the same path that Sega has (and Sega, has been losing money for nearly a decade, which is what drove them to leave the hardware business). Hell, Microsoft is losing money on every Xbox sold! If they didn't have the backing of Windows and all their other divisions, then the Box would be long gone.
Nintendo is staying. Don't believe any of the BS that the mainstream media has been posting about Nintendo leaving the hardware business.[/rant]
As for Resident Evil; it's exclusive to Nintendo up until RE4 but it might extend. RE0 and RE1 have both sold a good amount of copies and RE4 will probably sell more than both combined so expect the RE series to stay with Nintendo until Capcom decides that they're losing money on the series.
And get a Cube They're cheap, and so worth it (especially for the RE series). |
Right on!! Yeah, I read it in numerous gaming magazines and gaming sites, so that's why i thought it might be true. Also, for some reason the dropped the prices of the cube down to 100 bucks. Maybe I can afford to get one now, but I think it's strange that if nintendo is doing so good then why would they drop the price twice?
