do you have any idea how ebay works. a person is only ripping u off if an item is not as described or the quality is poor.
the whole point of a buy it now price is as the seller mentioned, if someone wants a tune that badly than they can get it straight away. the fact that he has it started at $5 shows that he is not ripping someone off. if the person uses the buy it now, then that is their option, and they know full well the price upon purchase, a record is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.
u can't stop a record spiriling out of control pricewise, nor can u guarantee a sale. people like u make me laugh, if u don't want it, don't buy it, just STFU

well the starting price is cheaper than that of a 'respectable retailer', where the track could cost you $6-$7 (which was quoted by you), had he been ill-informing the buyer, then the starting price would be much much higher.
the buy it now price amongst 99% of ebay auctions (where a normal listing is co-used)is never a true representation on how much the item is worth, its is always an over estimation because people will pay that little bit extra to gurantee winning.
who's stopping a bidder going online and puchasing the track off a record store, nobody, if they wish too they have every right too.
If mcdpitt was going to ill-inform buyers, he may put something like:
'this tune retails for between $15-$20 in shops' again that would be lies, but did he do it, no
emul8or, again you show no no subsatntial evidence to the buyer being ill-informed..
ive said it once, and i'l say it again, if u don't want it, don't buy it, just STFU

so who else is ill informing the buyer, please answer that?
i honestly get pissed off about people who claim to rip people off when it comes to record selling. there are a few blatent people who do rip off people (people who sell records on ebay and don't deliver, also hard to find records UK also), if a seller did this, then the only person who is gonna suffer is the seller, cos people will not buy from them, due to a harnished and bad reputation

well i honestly have no interest in a moving on in debate on whether i'm trying to 'rip of' people. its really quite simple business...if you don't want it, just move on. if you consider me a con artist, despite the fact that i started the bidding at $5, there's nothing i really can say to make you think otherwise is there?
look at other ebay auctions on vinyl. do you really see new releases have buy it now prices of 6 or 7 bucks? of course you don't. especially in the us, most people are used to paying more for a vinyl because we have to pay shipping just to get them...even in pittsburgh, its not like a can drive down the street, browse in the local trance record shop, and buy what i like. so there's no way i'm getting any of these for 7 or 8 bucks.
to be honest, i really don't care what you think about me. i've got a proven track record selling and buying, and i understand that when i want to buy a record, there is a definate price that i'm willing to pay for it...it may not be the same price as you're willing to pay. the record may be worth a different amount to different people.
i do think that if you think i'm a rip off and wish to write this in a public forum, you should check out the abundance of vinyl on ebay and contact many of the other sellers who are ripping people off..don't just limit yourself to records though....in fact, you should get in touch with everybody on ebay, no, the entire internet, and let them know just how you feel about this disgrace! well, you'd better stop reading this, you've got quite a bit of work to do...
