Reminds me of Heart Of Asia

So were after comments on the track in general or just the mastering.

As for the track it didn't rock my world, it never really kicks off, there's no major lead or anything to really push it all along. The percussion is lacking and the kick sound is horrible. Some good ideas though the vocals sit very well. Also there is no noticable bassline...or there was but (now moving on) poor mastering removed it. In general the mastering seems good but the track is not all there (ie bass, more perc) so it's hard to really comment.

Add a bassline and perc to give it some drive and decent lead and this could be good.

err.. thanks for the feedback. this is just the first part of the original track, the buildup at the end of this sample goes into the lead and main melodies. i more so wanted to hear some comments on the mastering of the perc, basslines, arps, and such. thanks for the reply. i can change the kick, no problem, i'm assuming you're talking about the real kick which doesnt come in until bar 30 or so, but i'm surprised you dont think there is a bassline. the idea i was going for is to take all the focus of the bassline, but it should still be noticable. let me rework it abit or something. thanks for the fdback.

Don't worry too much about the kick. It's not that its a poor sound its just me, personal taste etc. Just sounds too 'big band' and not so 'electro' for my liking. Definately a weak bassline, maybe if I listened to it on a better system and not PC speakers it would be clearer but the point of good mastering is to get the same sound out of different speakers & systems.
