Pete Tong: Armin van Buuren how are you, and where are you?
Armin van Buuren: Ahh I'm in the studio right now at the momment, getting ready for tonight.
Pete Tong: Ok does that mean you do some reindexes?
before you go out, or you're simply sorting your records out?
Armin van Buuren: Yea well you know it used to be all vinly, now it's more and more cdr, so, yea..
Pete Tong: Okay now you've reached number three in the top
one hundred DJs around the world last year, did that change your life ?
Armin van Buuren: Yea, you know it opened a lot more doors for me personally I think. You know.
I'm really happy you know for all the support from all the fans, especially from the UK.
You know it's really helping a lot, I was really surprised, you know, great feeling.
Pete Tong: Do you feel the pressure now ?
Armin van Buuren: *Laughs* Well you.. you know I think I should continue
on the part that I've you know, always done I mean the sound that I play
will always be the sound that I'll play in the future.
Pete Tong: Okay. Now you've got some new music coming out, so tell us about that.
Armin van Buuren: Ah well, new single is coming out, "Burned With Desire",
it's got some excellent remixes, and I'm working on the second album already,
which is due for the late of 2005. And a double compilation for a..., a world-wide one.
Pete Tong: Ok now you're about to go to off to Australia,
a great time to go to Australia! Have you been before ?
Armin van Buuren: Aha yea yea I have, I've been on the "Two Tribes" tour that was excellent.
Pete Tong: Okay and where are you gonna be playing this time,
cause we've got people listening down there right now!?!
Armin van Buuren: Ah wicked! Well looking forward to see the people down there again,
but this time it's gonna be a club tour, it's gonna be an "Armin Only" tour.
I've done the big arena thing, so you know, I wanna do longer sets in smaller clubs.
Pete Tong: Okay so Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane...
Armin van Buuren: Uhh, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, my parents actually live in Perth right now,
I haven't seen them in about 8 months, so it's gonna be a night to see them.
Pete Tong: That's a damn long way that is.
Armin van Buuren: Yes that is yea *hehe* it is.
Pete Tong: Alright now new residency to tell us about aswell.
Armin van Buuren: Yea tonight is a kick off actually, I've signed a huge deal with a "Godskitchen",
and they gonna do world-wide, a lot of dates, tonight's the resident kick-off night in Birmingham.
Pete Tong: Okay and another of my favorite clubs you're playing on saturday night.
Armin van Buuren: Yea, in "Lush", it's one of those gigs that's really hyping up, I hear a lot about, you know, the enthusiasm of the people out there, so.
Pete Tong: The greatest things they do there, they'll have you know kinda "Sasha" one week
and you know "Judge Jules", the next, you, I mean it's just good quality DJs,
doesn't really matter what style they play, they have it up there.
Armin van Buuren: Yea well, you know, I hope I can bring a good party *hehe*.
Pete Tong: Alright and a big record then to leave us with for this weekend?
Armin van Buuren: Peter Martin - Perfect Wave, it's a..., it's a production from America,
it's just one of those great tunes, I dunno about you Pete, but I think this is new wave coming of...
you know it's not trance, not progressive records, and it's just great.
Pete Tong: I Agree with you, I agree with you, just great *hehe*
