If this ever gets released i don't know how Mart is gonna choose a b-side. Back to your mix: sounds great at the beggining but i think it needs more hi-hats or something cause it sounds a bit empty. Love your synths and the few minor changes you did on the melody. Great work overall i just sat back and enjoyed this remix.

thx for your review Seyker,

yea I've been thinking to change the start so it does not start with the melody chords and so in the buildup I've got some more things to change, you're right there.

hey DeZmA,

I enjoyed this mix. But others on this thread have gotten to my gripes about it already. ie: the melody starting off the song and ending it. and actually i dont think i really like the sound you used for the melody that begins the song. but other than that i like it a lot. I think your take on Mart's original melody is a nice reprise. Overall it sounds good. Just a few changes here and there and youll have another sick song to accompany the original.

Good work!

Hi Dezma,

You have some cool intro there, nice layers, starts pretty smooth. Add some volume to the clap, its too low. I Don't like the break, i'd add some extra lead to the melody and maybe a fat string or a bass_string to fill the emptyness. Great melody arrangment . Oh and yea, some more hats would help here. Keep working .

Cheers, EM.

Great intro, definitely something out of the ordinary. Nice and smooth.

Main synth could use some work, it's a little hard on the ears, esp. after the general mood is laidback.

I think this remix has the potential to go both ways, in the sense that you can keep it as more of a warm-up track and not add any more percussive elements, or you can make it a little more banging and add more emphasis on the percussive elements.

Nice add-on to the main piano melody.

Towards the end...around 6:40 onward, the background could use some work. It's almost as if the piano is doing all the work, if that makes any sense. I think it would probably work better as a breakdown, the kick seems to be in there "just 'cause."

But very nice work, definitely a good perspective on the original.

heard the song now
one thing u should try to change is that ravy , computery sound which starts at 1:30 which then fades out and comes back in later
the melody rocks
the beets do need some more work as the others said
other than that good work keep it up

You have included good ideas, but i'm pretty much with the others... The Lead synth is simply not impressing, but the overall idea seems to work. Take more time for the sounds and your future works will sound more professional. DOn't get me wrong, what you did with the Original is not bad at all...but there's a lot more potential left.
Keep going!

If you're interested have a look at my Remix of Echano (in my signature)...

Regards,
Michi
