Roxy doesn't have a regular Friday event - different promoters have the place each week, so the music is whatever they want it to be
There's an Asian party there that night. It'll be mostly hip-hop/reggae/R&B after midnight or so.
I supposedly have a chance to spin there for a little during the first hour, along with a friend from San Francisco, but we'll have to see if that actually happens. If it does, then there will be some trance in the beginning.
Saturdays is gay night at Roxy.
If you want trance all night, try Vudu Lounge, where a new weekly event is starting that night (Friday).
You can also try Avalon on Friday, with Johnny Vicious
There's a psy-trance event at Arc on Saturday.
And though more progressive than trance, Hernan Cattaneo (with Jason Jollins, one of the locals def worth checking out) will be at Centro-Fly on Saturday.
