what's up all, this being my first post, i'll guess i'll just kick off by saying hi! and that i'm a 'weekend' raver, mostly cuz i live in vermont (no club scene, btw, even in burlington) and can't afford to go out of state very often. that said, i very spontaneously decided at about 9:30 that my friend and i were headed to canada. i had heard of starlight ii via an acquaintance of mine, the veritable dj endo, and it had been a while (year?) since i'd been to a decent party where the main focus was trance; especially nrg & hard trance, but also some speedcore/gabber kinda stuff with some psy/goa, my personal favorites.

barring the frustration kindled from driving around montreal 2 1/2 hours completely lost (partially from not knowing french, partially from being stoned), the trip there was a good one. at the door, we were charged $20 canadian each, which definitely took a portion of our allotted play money. i can't be horribly informative about who the djs were that played there [reason: never saw a flyer], except for endo. the sound was "terrible," he said, but as a casual raver i didn't really find any flaws with the sound. i forgot to mention, there were three rooms in this place (which was a bingo hall, btw), seperated by thick curtain. the large main area had your basic energetic and hard trance, the second area had hard stuff also, and i recall hearing some crazy breaks in it too. the third room was where the hardest shit was being dropped! i was on the lookout for chicas most of the time (canadien or otherwise), so i stuck to the main area for the majority of the party, minus the random travants here or there as dosed partiers often happen upon (they had the better music in there too). i didn't get around to meeting too many people, however, i met a couple of canadian guys that were mad chill, so shout out to them, Aaron and whatever your friend's name is, heh. we actually stuck around til' about 8:30 a.m. (think it got out @ 9). i'm sure that there were probably some tranceaddicts there too, but i was lookin pretty nondescript (brown timberland tee, blue windpants and flashy-glowy-light-thing hangin out of my mouth half the time, lol). anyways, sorry to bore everyone, just wanted to get it all down on something while it was still fresh!
