Actually, X7 was WAY better than X6. Honestly, this is somewhat of a new genre to be entering with the X series therefore Capcom could do a real good job, considering they do so well with the RPG EXE series.

X7 X6 X5 X4 All suck...the x series was only good on Snes..

once they left the nintendo things straight up turned RETARDED,but with every new game there is hope that it will turn better. Hopefully they can dig themselves out of that nasty plot theyve gotten into somehow, cant believe that mess they pulled about the world being destoryed, sigh, and zero's "DNA" was the stupidest thing ever.

Now that's not true (with the exception of X6). The SFC/SNES games were probably the best of the batch (save for X3 which I think is a failure) but that doesn't mean the next gen X's were bad. X4 was freaking awesome with the stages, characters, and action (the storyline was eh...). X5 had the best music in the entirety of the X games. Plus, you finally got to fight Zero (X2 didn't count since he wasn't his true self) and see some of his sick moves (even if the fight was short). X6 was blah... X7 wasn't the best entry into the 3D world but it still had some memorable gameplay and a new character who'll be appearing in future games (at least that's what Capcom says).

Overall, sequels are usually crappy. Ones expectations shouldn't be set that high... Then you're going to think that every sequel sucks (no matter it be game, show, movie, etc...).
