Rasta Need Good Reggae

Alright guys. I've recently been getting really into the sweet sounds of reggae.

So far, I really only know a few good artists so my collection is definitely slim. Basically I'm listening to Lyndval Thompson, Marley & the Wailers and Peter Tosh.

That's about it.

Can anyone offer me some other good artists and songs to listen to?

Hey man.. thanks for that. Just the kind of sound I'm looking for.

On a side note.. I really fucked up that name up there in my original post. It's Linval.. not whatever I typed. Yep.

I was just about to IM you Javi and ask you about some suggestions. Nah, I don't need Marley suggestions.. god that man's music is magical.

I'll check out Steel Pulse right now.

sounds like you're looking for roots (socially conscious) reggae.

for an old-school roots feel try:
black uhuru
burning spear
toots & maytals
junior reed
jimmy cliff
israel vibration

for newer roots-style:
buju banton (post 1995)
junior gong (damien marley)
capleton (post 1994)
burro banton
