Need help with setup of Shure Whitelabel

Hola

Today I recieved my Shure Whitelabels, but I'm having some difficulties setting them up. Yes, I've RTFM and done as it says, but the needel still seems to skip.

The manual says that thw weigth should be set on 2.5 - 3.5 grams, and it still seems to skip a little now and then. Shit, I've read some of you have it set on 0 grams.

My anti skip is set to 1 and the height to 3.5 mm.

Help me out here...

thx

Make sure your decks are level/horizontal.
That's also very important.

The height depends on the thickness of your slipmat and kind of cartridge.
The bottom (the plastic) of your cartridge/needle should be parallel with the records you play.
Not every record has the same thickness, but that’s only a very small difference.

personally, i dont think you need to have the antiskating on. i have that set at 0. my height for both tables are 4 mm. and my weight is set exactly on 3. i have whitelables and mk2's as well and that works perfectly fine for me with whatever i do. no skipping at all. the way it looks to me, the tonearm weight sits further back on the arm than they would for most cartridges (i'm assuming whitelabels are heavier)so maybe you should recalibrate ur weight again. u might have missed something somewhere

Set the antiskate to 0, you don't need it. Try to put the weight at 3 grams, set the height at 2mm.

I have mk5's w/ whitelabels and i use 2.75 gr at 2mm height with 0 anti-skate.
I can backspin, scratch heavily, do quick rewinds, etc... they only skip if the record is a little warped.

Remember the more weight/height you put, the more you damage the records...
