OK guys, Im lookiong to go to Amsterdam with a few friends to catch one of the big parties. Cna anyone give me sugestions as to which party to go to, where to stay, and what clubs/sites do I need to visit, and lastly how long should I stay for to catch as much as possible.

the best time to visit holland is in the summer. Best weather, best partys

If you like the harder side of dance music go to: Defqon 1
If you like the commercial stuff and want to be entertaint go to: Sensation (white and/or black version)
If you want the best en biggest dance festival with a lot of areas/styles go to: Dance Valley (summer 2004 10th edition of dance valley, it is going to be huge. 60 000 people), Mysteryland is second
If you want the friendlyest atmosphere go to: Extrema
If you want just TECHNNOOOOOO go to: Awakenings

In germany you have also LoveParade. Make sure you go a few days.
In germany you have Nature One. a 3 days during festival wiht a camping

In Spain: IBIZAAAAAAa. Best clubs, best djs but very expensive

So it al depends on how much money you want to spend.

But for the best big party expierence go to DANCE VALLEY. Simply the best!!

Thanks for the great info. I am definitely going to go durring summer. Im still not sure which party I will go to yet Im stil lwaiting to see if a friend of mine gets invited to spin. (whereever he spins at is where Ill go) but if he dosnet spin anywhere I mgith have to check out hte Dance Valley 2004. Also, what do you mean by the most friendly party? Ive never heard of extrema, can you fill me in about htat party?

I will be in europe also during the summer, but unfortunately will be there from mid may to the end of july, and will miss dance valley

But do you have dates or anything on more info for sensation and some of the other clubs you mentioned in Amsterdam? Thanks!

Dates for senstaion: 3 july sensation white
10 july sensation black

but sensation isnt that great. in that period there there are far more better partys. Sensation is the most commercial party. The line up is ok but what I said before there are better line ups.

Extrema is held on 17 july.

It is hard to explain. The party isnt that big for dutch standards
(about 15 000 people) but it has a special kind of atmosphere. A very friendly cosiness atmosphere. Not that the people on other party are aggresive or something, they are a also very friendly and the atmosphere is also great. But I think you will have to be a dutchman to really notice the difference.

In my opinion (dutch) summer party top 3

1.Dance Valley
2.Mysteryland
3.Love Parade (ok not a dutch party but also very very very good!)

Clubs:

I dont know precise how the club scene is in Amsterdam. It also changes fast. And it also hard to predict what the line ups will be in the summer of most of the clubs. Most line ups for the clubs will be announced a month or a bit more before the night it self. But there are a lot of clubs with a variety of styles.

I heard Hotel Arena is the best place to stay adn it has the best night club in amsterdam in it? any opinions?

I was in Holland this summer, I was at party called LoveFields ( www.lovefields.nl ) and had a really great time, it's small compared to DV, "only" ~15.000 ppl, but it was in east part of Holland.
I am gonna come this year for either Sensation or DV, prolly Sensation, I dunno yet, main thing is you can't go wrong with these parties they're all great
And I just can't wait to see Armin spin again, hehe

Any official dates for the summer events yet?
