Pitch
Hi , i just baught 2 used turntables for a nice price But unfortunatly i can't get a mixer just yet The turntables have a pitch control wich you must turn, but now this guy i know tells me that for beat matching you need a pitch control wich you can slide to be able to beatmatch .. is he right, and if so why?

yes you need a pitch control on turntables so u can adjust the speed so u can match em and yes u also need a mixer. goto http://djsource.co.uk to find more information on dj'in and what to get (im to lazy to tell u myself lol). return those tables asap if they dont have a pitch control.
as long as its got pitch control, its good
and i dont think this dude above me read your entire thing...

you can get the turning pitch control to work. But if you ever have to work on a technics, you're screwed!
Just for fun, these are ok, but they also are more difficult to learn, cause they move only a little distance so fine-tuning takes a lot of "feel".

Thanks, i tought it should be possible with these myself.. and yes it may be harder but that's only better i guess. When i manage to do the beatmatching with these i'll probably sell and get myself some technics but first i wanna know for sure i've got the feeling and everything for it since otherwise it would be a bad spent buck
thanks..

You are totally right I've tried stantons, vestaxs and others but none came close to the feel of a tech. It is the only way to go.

Okay so the feel of a technics is better , i believe that .. but what does it matter for some simple beatmatching?

they may be not as accurate as the technics, which might make beatmatching more difficult, as I said. But it's possible. Don't let them force you into spending 800 $ when you only want to spend 300$.

Thanks, at this moment that's exactly how i think.. if i can't do some beatmatching with these i won't even have to buy technics because i probably won't get the feeling with them anywayz.
