I vouch for Lost In Translation in all catergories!
The movie is sooo dreamy! Makes you want to go to Japan!

That's pretty damn ignorant. Give credit where credit is due. Peter Jackson did an amazing job directing those movies.

I agree with pretty much all your picks for nominees but I don't think Mystic River will do nearly that well. Also, I think House of Sand and Fog will get some nods.

I just don't think 'Lord of the Ring' series were good movies..
sorry I offended you, but I couldn't remember his name
As far as picks.. they're not MY choices, but those that I think academy will select
Regarding 'House of Sand and Fog', it might recieve one or two nominees, but I doubt it will end up winning any

I don't think alot of people understand how he went about making those films. He shot all 3 of them at the same time. While he was on set shooting one scene there may have been up to 2 other scenes being shot elsewhere that he was directing as well, via a live video feed. That's quite an accomplishment if you ask me.

my friend told me that mystic river is weak.
great acting but very weak plot , so I'll doubt it win.
Lost in Translation Will take it I think , tho I'd voted for LOTR

rant about "Lost in Translation"
I liked the way they presented Japan, but other than that, I found the movie boring and annoying
the two main characters are really annoying. The guy with his what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-those-Jap-people attitude and his smart ass humor. The girl is just blah, if my gf acts like this, I'd go crazy.
now I am bitter, because I was forced to watch this, being told it's a REALLY good movie. I found it more like
if the directors intention was to show Americans as ignorant overseas, then he did a good job
