I just upgrade my sound card on one of my computers to a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum EX. For those of you who are familiar with this product, I hooked my mixer into the external device that is hooked into my sound card. Now this SHOULD work right? Because if it isnt, then that means I hooked it up inside my computer wrong. But I dont think I did. However, Im not sure if this would work.
Anyone know what Im doing wrong? And also I have Klipsch THX 5.1 Surround Sound speakers.
Or is there even another way? Im not running anything kind of sound through any kind of receiver or amp. But the speakers Im using are computer speakers so, if Im not mistaken, they already have an amp in them right?
Damn, I really hope someone can help me out cuz I've brought my tables here to school and have no been able to spin for 2 weeks.
Thanks in advance for anyones help. And thank you for youre concern cuz you must imagine how I must feel.
TranceLuver4evr, you out there!

hey, i have the same setup. i basically run an rca to 1/8 cord from my mixer to my soundcard. one end of that cord goes to the mixer master out and the other end goes into the "line-in" on your soundcard. i know you must have that because u have an audigy platinum which is what i have. anyways next go to your windows speaker and volume menu. it should be on the right of your start menu, or go into control panel, volume, etc. open up that box and make sure that line-in volume is up, and that your regular volume is up. if both of those are up and not muted, you should be good to start spinning. (oh yea, make sure u hook up ur tt's to the mixer)

an rca to 1/8 isss........ aite. you know those cords that have the red, and the white on one end. those are rca's. waht you need is the rca on one side, and a "regular" headphone jack on the other side. that way you can plug the rca side into your mixer, and the regular headphone side into your soundcard. you can buy that at radioshack for 4 bucks. just tell them that you want an rca to headphone wire. they'll know what your talking about.
