Ok, something a little special this time for ASOOT 8. Remember all those tunes from the good ol days, well I went back in time and resurrected some of the best to bring you my first part of ASOOT classics (There are soo many good ones, I couldn't put them all into one set, so more will follow).

Thanks to Rocco and Mastercongo for their suggestions!

i like the energy that you were going for...and of course i love all of those tracks, but i think that the mixing could be better...the transitions could be smoother...but i guess that's a matter of opinion...

Really, wow, I liked the mixing on this one. I thought it was pretty good/honestly, but this is also just a matter of opinion

This is true, however , in the case with classic trance, there are soo many that I wanted to fit as many tunes in as possible, 14 in 80 min seems pretty good, so I mixed before second breakdowns and quickly, esp if there is still alot of noise coming up before the next breakdown, on the whole I mix nice and long for newer trance

What can i say, the music was top notch and since i dun mind adding my 2cents worth here we go...

1 - ur needles are baaaadd.... hiss n noise, either that or your vynils are old n scratched.
2 - a mix has to have structure, yours didn't really, sorry to say, you need to know that you cant slam hit after hit, you gotta have a buildup of some sort...
3 - i think its the 2nd or 3rd song.. after that.. ur volumes are stuffed, u might need to work more on your EQ's, too much treble, nearly killed my speakers driving down to work.. hehehe
4 - hope you don't mind me been too tough.. but you wanted advice...
5 - are you sure you dun mind? hehehe
6 - Your mixing wasn't that good in most transitions, sorry to say, some were good, sum were just slammed in, sum were too early n sum were too late.

Thats pretty much all i can remember..

1 - I found out later that my grounding wire came off, its back on, I was too busy beatmatching in the other ear to notice

2 - I was showcasing the best from classics, not the so so's and then the wicked ones, so thats my reasoning for hit after hit

3 - My Eq's suck cuz I'm using a numark dmx 1001 crappy mixer, I do my best , but yeah ,sometimes it just plain sucks

4 - Its seriously wicked for the feedback, I appreciate any and all feedback, those are my defences, for what I did, it was a mix a little out of the ordinary so that's the reason, usually I let it flow a little better but this ASOOT was a little different

over all it was ok/ but nice to listen to

your mixing needs some improvement, but don't worry so does every dj's in one way or another.

Try and blend your two songs for a longer length of time. That's one thing I noticed right away

thanks for the beats,,,and keep it up

and I almost forgot to mention....good taste is music man

day 2- I'm checking it out again, looks like the comments I gave to you were from another mix I downloaded. So here's my new comments. Great music...Music that will last forever. I have a couple of thoes songs too. Your mixing is good, believe me. IMO, I still enjoy the longer mixing as well. I understand you were trying to fit more tracks in. I will burn your mix to a cd and listen from now and then. Once again I like your taste in music and you know what your doing when your mixing so.......enjoy what you do and keep going at it.

Thanks again
