Borders rocks!

Went to a Borders store in this new mall that opened up about 15 minutes away. Picked up DJ Tiesto - Summerbreeze and Dave Seaman's Renaissance Desire for very decent prices. I'm surprised how much GOOD dance music they have available

word, I work at a Borders so I get madd discounts, so I've actually been BUYING music lately!
I picked up Sander K's Rennaisance, and some Carl Cox and Deep Dish.
for all the stores out there, Id say they have a pretty good selection for EDM, worth checking out. Although, they DO charge an arm and a fucking leg for their CDs, even the ones that arent imports. If it wasnt for my employee discount I doubt I would buy anything there.

having said all this, working for Borders sucks and I'm thinking about quitting soon

I was looking for some trance cds and was having a hard time finding a good selection. The local Sam Goody's collection of EDM seems to have just vanished, the Circuit City's selection is growing smaller and smaller...

then I head on over to Borders and it's like heaven!

I never noticed the EDM magazines there. I know at Barnes & Noble has BPM, DJMag, Remix and DJTimes. Does Borders have any more?

not really...borders has Mizmag and Remix and BPM...I couldn't really find any others.
btw, I encourage you to steal magazines: if they don't sell them by the end of the month (which is commonly the case) they rip off the covers and mail the covers back to the distributer and take the bodies of the magazines, put them in a lockbox and throw them in a locked dumpster. We aren't allowed to have them or buy them at a discounted price or anything, and they took it VERY seriously.
so fucking wasteful and ghey.

You think they would at least put them in the breakroom or whatever they have so employees could read them but not take them home. They're doing nothing sitting in a lockbox...wasteful indeed.

Borders is the best around here for EDM cds... but to get some hard to find CDs you've gotta go to the Virgin Megastore, that place seems the best for electronic type stuff - went the other day and saw Balance 005 and the new Sandra Collins.
