Trance that benefits from audiophile-quality speakers/headphones?

Hey everyone... I was wondering if you all could point me to some trance online (preferably downloadable as, say, a .wav, or even an .mp3) that benefits significantly from a really high-quality, detailed, and accurate set of headphones or speakers? I'm talking trance for the audiophile, you know? Stuff with a bunch of layers, well-sampled instruments, and other stuff that it takes good equipment to hear real well in it? Thanks!

.wav files won't happen, go for high quality encoded mp3's

Listen to some Orbital, Future sound of london, or Digweed.

Really intricate stuff for the most part, lots of things going on.
CD's would be your best bet, since most audiophiles I know cringe at the thought of listening to an mp3.

I'm half a step ahead of you, man...

*Picks up the CD case for "Orbital - In Sides"*

*realizes that he's lost the first CD to the two CD set of In Sides*

Gyahhhhhh!

Anyways, Thievery Corporation is good too....*looks lovingly at his Thievery Corporation - DJ Kicks CD* so, anyone else?

I've heard from an unreliable source that the european bands, "Kraftwerk" and "Telex" were good audiophile-quality electronica. Is this true?

Not sure about telex. Kraftwerk is interesting, definitely not everyone's cup of tea though, check them out though, you might dig it.

Theivery corporation is good, a guy named "Blue states" is really really good headphone listening music, his songs seem to surround you.

Good headphone music, eh?

*cackles happily, and looks, lovingly, at his Beyerdynamic DT831 headphones, which have some of the best soundstage and stereo imaging of any closed headphones on God's green earth (well, next to the Sony MDR-CD3000's, anyways) connected to a headphone amp*

(Oh, FYI, the best "listening to trance" headphones are the Grado SR-325's. $300, and worth every penny...)

Oh, nothing will freak me out on headphones...not after listening to binaural music on headphones (music that is made for headphones, and can position stuff ANYWHERE around you, due to how it was recorded)...

yea, I let a friend listen to a binaural test of some dogs walking and panting, from left and right in front of him, and, he was like, "There's a DOG in my HEAD!"

*grins*

it was coming from so far away too....feet away, you could hear it...

P.S.

DJravemonkey, you should make your icon to an icon of the Ape (dancing, of course; the Creatures in that game dance) from the game Black and White...heheh...
