heard about on CNN. u know what 8 billion dollars can do in this world. how many starving children in africa it could feed. how far AIDS research could have progressed, how many college scholarships could be paid for...etc...total waste of the money we pay for taxes. i gave up 1200 bucks last year to the peoples favorite IRS agency. it probably went to irak to fill up a few dozen tanks, and its gone. or its in worthless 8 billion dollar helecopter programs that end up being scrapped.
we also have i think the highest deficet in our history?? am i right??

i always shake my head when politicans say they dont have the money for health care or education but there always seems to be enough money for wasteful military weapon projects like these. the amounts are always in the billions I'm starting to get desensitized to the word billion doesnt seem like much anymore.
anyways good riddance to the comanche

You are thinking budget deficit.
EvilTree was correct, the US National debt is well over 4 Trillion dollars. In fact it is at a whopping $7,087,086,937,116.83 As of 5:30 central time today.
That is $24,156.83 cents for every man woman and child in the country.
It has also increased $2.06 Billion a day since Sept 30, 2003 on average. When Clinton was in office (like him or hate him) the national debt was actually decreasing and they had turned off the famous debt clock built during the Reagan era. Funny how republicans are supposed to be the fiscal conservatives yet they seem to always be the ones in power when the debt skyrockets.

Dear God, I hope England doesn't owe that much.

I'm glad the commanche was cut
Yup, it will make life for us in the tanks much safer for the next 50 years
I'm sure none of you care of course that the US will probably lose its technological edge to the laughable eurochopter, and will continue to fear deployment of its obsolete apaches because they get shot down like flies get swatted.
On a good note, I'm glad sold that boeing stock last month. Now if they can only get rid of those pesky 'capital gains' tax... why does my bank have to report my money to the IRS anyway?
