Is there anywhere to download effects for cubase SX?... the delay is pretty simple and doesnt seem to flexible... is there optional effects that are downloadable or is the only other option just using the effects in Vsti's and such..?

Any VST effect will work with cubase sx.. eg Waves Bundles, or TC Native Bundles.. $$$ though.

No I understand that any vsti effect will work in cubase.. But is there any standalone type effect patches that I can APPLY to vst's or whatever I want, except for the OEM ones that come with cubase... cuz the quality for them could be better..

There are lots of free downloadable fx plugins available! For example check out http://www.smartelectronix.com/~destroyfx/ Or search with google: "Free + vst + fx" should definitly work. I've found some really good delay & reverb plugins and I'm using them in my productions.
I can't come up with more links, cuz I'm not on my own computer with my bookmarks right now. But I can post them later on, if you like...
