Thanks, I did do a search before I posted this but must have missed that thread..That kinda helped. I was half way through tutorial then realised I don't have a unison filter cause I'm only using Reason 2.0 So I guess that means no supersaw for me.

I'm no reason user but I'm pretty sure the upgrade to 2.5 is free

True to some extent..

it can still be done..

The jp80xx's supersaw is only 7 or 8 voices yeah? Well.. try this in reason 2.0. Ad 4 subtractrs, Turn on OSC2 on each apart from the last and then detune all the the cent like this:

-30 | -20 | -10 | 0 | 10 | 20 | 30

then it's up to your eqing.. cut out the 80hz.. boost it a tad on the uper frequencies.. well above 1.5khz tho (IMO)

have a listen to this .. done in 5 min so it's not great.. but gives you an idea.

Or you can do what i'm doing. Using fruty loops rewired to reason and use a nice plugin like Superwavep8, VAZ or the pro53

Nope.

It is the subtle difference between an upgrade and an update. Many companies offer upgrades at much less then the cost of a new one to those who own the previous version. To justify this they must add some solid features or people get pissed Otherwise they call it in update which can range from just bug fixes to minor tweaks, but overall not enough changes to justify charging for it.

Of course some companies don't quite understand this subtle difference, Stanton/NI comes to mind

Reason 2.5 was free to existing Reason 2.0 users. They notified us via email with a link to download. But I don't know if it is still available - worth looking into if you are a 2.0 user!
