Heylo! I am looking to invest in Final Scratch and am wondering if anyone can give me some input on what they know about the program. Just looking for some insight hereThanxxx

I had a chance to play with it, I can't quite compare it to the real vinyl cuzz I got no experience wih neither one, although I tried both and can't quite fucking tell the difference!! Final Scratch is definately a great device to have but remember with that you have to shell out for a good fast laptop. If the Final scratch itself is around 600 bucks then a laptop would be about 2000+ Do the math I still believe it's totally worth it to be able to play rare tunes and promos that DJs wait for months to recieve or might not be able ever to get hold of! If you're a poor student I suggest don't waste your money.

I've DJ'd with it a couple times, and when it works its awesome, but it rarely does that, the software and hardware have many problems, and the new version 1.5 has many more problems becuase it runs under XP, and so its not very reliable, if I was you, I would wait till they make a far superior version, or look into gettin Serato Scratch Live, its made with Rane technology I think, so it should be many times better, so you should hold on for now and see what the future holds.

Oh yea, this should really be in the DJ Booth section, and you should go there and do a search, there have been loads of posts, so just go hunting there, and you will find plenty of information.

I own it. I have the 1.1 version which works great. I had problems on my old computer (1ghz). The sound would kick out for like 1ms every couple minutes, almost as if to catch up. It works perfectly on my 2.5ghz comp now.

If you come to Vancouver go down to Tom Lee Music. They have it on display and if the younger guy is there he will let you play with it.
Then you can see for your self.

Final Scratch is good only if you spin a lot in different cities.
