This is way too minimalistic for my tastes, although I'm not sure if that's what you were going for.

The percussive elements sound hollow, and the synths are extremely thin...not to mention the track as a whole doesn't really go anywhere.

You might also want to consider doing something with your middle frequencies, I haven't run it through a professional spectrum analysis, but just looking at the spectrum analysis provided by Winamp, it looks like you have bass and highs, and that's it.

If you're unclear on the fundamentals of music theory, I highly recommend you look into that.

Okay, first of all, what was said above about the frequencies is right, but eq is not going to fix it, there just aren't any instruments/sounds in that frequency range.

You need to put something between the kicks (either a bassline or something else). A lot of tech producers use heavily reverbed mid-range sounds to fill the gap and cut the tail off so it only fills the gap. Can sound quite good. You could also try reverbng the kick with lop pass on the reverb and then cutting it up. There are lots of things you can do.

Try and get yourself some better percussion samples. Especially the kick, it is very hollow sounding. You might be able to fix it with eq, its worth a try.

Also, try putting some delay on the percussion and lead (3/4) to fill it out a bit, its very empty sounding as it is right now.

Hope that helps a bit. You've got quite a way to go still but you'll get there, it can be a fun learning curve if you stick at it.

p.s around 4:30 there is a bassline sort of sound. It sounds a lot better when this is here cos it fills in the gap.
