Someone stole Radiohead - Street Spirit [Tiesto Remix] from Cor Fijneman
Last saturday, Cor Fijneman spinned at a club called BBC, in St.-Niklaas, Belgium. During that evening, someone stole the cd with the Tiesto Remix of Radiohead's Street Spirit from his cd collection. He posted this dutch message on his weblog :
quote:
I'm not gonna translate everything, just want to say that the guy is very pissed, rightfully. Only very few djs (Tiesto, Cor, ...) had this tune, so it was very exclusive...
If this track gets a "scene-release", keep in mind that its releasers are THIEFS with absolutely no respect for the artist.

as i already said on the belgian forum: i stole it!
meheh, nah... what i said was:
ok it's a terrible thing, but i think its even worsen when ur a not-so-famous-dj and you have an entire record bag stolen or something...
anyway, i don't expect any big dj starting to spin the stolen track, you just can't do stuff like that, and even if you do, they know you've got your hands on it in an illegal way and they will be able to sue you very easily (if its that big a deal). The only people who will enjoy this are the internet mp3 downloaders, and since it wasn't meant to be released, i guess it's not THAT big a loss...
Its really fuckin lame that someone would steal from the DJ.
But then again, if it was such a super rare track I believe Cor should have done a better job watching over his record bag, shit i know when I spin, I watch over all my stuff so nothing gets stolen (partially because I don't trust anyone.)
