absurd. in the 18th century, johann heinrich lambert proved the irrationality of π. this means its decimal expansion will never terminate (or become periodic, for that matter).

Put simply, Pi is how many diameters of the circle it takes to wrap around the circumference of the circle. In this case (well, in EVERY case), it takes about 3.14* diameters to wrap the circumference.
