Power Conditioning Your Opinions
Do you think I should get power conditioning I plan on doing gigs mostly private parties, weddings, school dances etc. I'm wondering if I should get a power conditioning unit and if soo which one should I get and how much would it run me?

I don't think they cost much, I've seen some ok Gemini ones go for about $50 bux canadian, dunno how good they are, but if you are spinning vinyl, I would get it, cos if the power fluctuates for some reason, like the place you at has crap wiring, then the motors inside your decks will fluctuate aswell, and won't stay beatmatched.
I would buy one if spinning out regulary with your own equipment, it won't cost much and will only help and give you some peace of mind.

Yeah. You can get something of high quality then go with Monster audio conditioner. It will run more about 200-300 dollars. They have an HTS series.
You can check out their products for conditioners here http://www.monstercable.com/power/

IMHO Monster seems to have overpriced products... Never looked into their power conditioners though.

overpriced maybe... but not many other competitors that offer their level of quality. They lead their market of high-end cables and power products.
When I used to do audio sales, we used to get their main rep fly down and give our stores regular training on their products. You wouldn't believe how much details go into their products. From the engineering, to every part used to make their products.

Don't get confused.. monster makes a pro line series that is tailored to studios, pros. I use to sell cables regularly for a couple of guys that owned a studio.
If you want a pro-rack mount, monster has a serious labelled for pro audio and studio use. Their higher end model is the
MP PRO7000 http://www.monstercable.com/pro_aud...ro.asp?pin=2138
They have others like the Pro 3500 and Pro 2500 that cost less money.

Any model in particular from the furman line. I just need enough switches to run my tt's, mixer, amp, and cdj's off of.

PL-8 is all what you need (they now come in an improved series II version). 8 plugs. Be sure to take the version made for your country electrical system.
You could take higher level units, but frankly, just for plugging in your dj gear you shouldn't need more. It protects from surges and filters the current to give you a steady stream.
PS : don't get me started on Monster Cable, I'm not their biggest fan (they have a lot of marketing mumbojumbo too you know).
