Can anyone please give me some tips on how to recreate....

....the synthy clicky kinda noise that's evident in these 2 samples:

sample 1
sample 2

It's more apparent in the first, in the second it sounds more like 2 plastic balls being clicked together.

Any tips or pointers to get me started are welcome

don't forget... the most important part causing the actual click type sound is having a very short delay in the cutoff envelope (.5 seconds maybe?). You basically want a low-pass filter changing from a high frequency to a low frequency in a short amount of time. Also, add some res to increase the amount of "clicking"

Sorry, I disagree, That sound is achieved with a very low sustain, and a medium decay. Set both sustain and decay very low, then increase the decay until the synth starts clicking. This takes away from the fullness of the synth, so you need to run 2 instances, one that is short and clicky, and one that gives the full sound.
