I went to go see Armin saturday; and right from the start my ears were hurting then it got better ( I wasn't feeling it anymore )....
The place was rather loud and idiot me spent the whole time in front of the main speakers...
It's tuesday morning and my ears are still ringing I'm very worried .
I go out all the time and usually don't have this happening to me.
I should have known better because the place were armin played always hurts my ears and I forgot my ear plugs in the car
Should I start being worried?
I know this sounds lame to most of you maybe but I really feel like my hearing has changed

My ears almost rang for a whole week once and i was starting to get worried, however it got better then (i actualy think my hearing has improved )
But i made a mental not to never dance the whole night infront of the main speakers at a hard techno party again

When I went to see Chemical Bros mine were ringing for like 3 days or so. I think its "normal" as in I dont think you should be too worried. If it lasts more than a week i'd get it checked out.

my ears rang solidly for an entire week once after delta heavy 1 (which was probably the loudest gig, I ever went to). Since then, I bring earplugs all the time (don't wear them the entire time but most of the time). I'll save my fucking ears for another 80 yrs, I view losing my hearing as HORRIBLE!...think you can't listen to trance if you lose your hearing.

i've had chronic ear infections for the past three years, and every time i go to a show my ears ring the next day.
the reason you have ringing, is Tinnitus. medical term for ringing ears. theres no exact cause, but most of the time it's just your cochlea in your inner ear has thousands of little hairs that have an electrical charge. when the hairs vibrate from the sounds they pick up they send signals to your brain, determining the sounds you hear in your head.
at a loud concert, those hairs start to bend and get in that position from all the loud noises you experience. after a concert those hairs are still bent and recovering from their audio experience, thats where you hear the ringing because the hairs in your ear are vibrating to remake shape.
Usually after awhile, (like when ur old age) those hairs get permanantly bent and thats when you start getting hearing loss.
ear ringing is usually temporary, but if it's chronic see your doctor.

I never goto clubs without wearing earplugs. Tinnitus is a serious problem, and as a DJ/producer, having it would effectivly put an end to your livelyhood. Music is my life, so I value my ears more than anything.
I bought a bulk-pack of like 60 pairs of earplugs at Home Depot. They are basic green foam, and they muddy up the sound at clubs. But I'm willing to endure that to protect my hearing. You can get those specially molded earplugs for like $150+ from an ear specialist. You can still hear everything clearly with those. I hope to get some within a year.
