Long Distance Relationships

What is your stance on these. Can they work or are they doomed to failure. Anyone involded in one that is working or have you been stung by one that went wrong? Do you have an 'Internet Girlfriend' ? If so, how's it working out for ya?

Edit : I am seeing someone long distance so...um....yea!

Long Distance relationships are not natural IMO ... if it is a temporary thing then that is fine but if its gonna be a long-term long distance relationship I'd get the hell outta there fast.

On intarweb relationships.... Echo of Silence, Whiskers, Emil, Boomer187, fuct4less, PhloTron, Photo_bot_2k1, and Mebot and I are all going to get married in Vegas! And we're going to live in booom boooom booooomers house!

Long distance can work if eventually you're planning on getting closer.

it works if you should each other "frequently" but if it's only every 6 months or some crap like the person lives onthe other side of the world it can be sketchy.

oh and above all continuous contact can overcome all.

I guess I believe in long distance relationships but I believe they can also be deceiving.

My grandparents were writing to each other for a couple years and before they even met my grandfather proposed to grandma in a letter ..How cute

Yeah that's always the cold reality that most people fail to think of from the start; one of the two will have to relocate. Will it be you?/????

i had a long term relationship with my g/f for about half a year. it was quite hard being apart but we got used to it, then i lived with her for 3m onths over summer and then i went to uni and long distance again. it is harder this time round but we are gonna live together soon so it will be great

however having a long distance relationship would be hard if say for many years i reckon.

you should really be planning when you coudl make it not long distance.

i think they work but ONLY if both partners are VERY dedicated and devoted to the relationship. communication and honesty are like 10x even more important when you're long distance with someone.

and yeah, the whole relocating thing needs to occur.

long distance relationships don't really work ...i've been involved in several and my last bf was in US ....we were seeing each other when we could but we were free to be with someone else if we wanted ...i didn't go with someone else because i really loved this guy but i finally broke up because it couldn't go on this way forever ....too complicated and too much probs too should i move ?will he move?blah blah so unless u are ready to move out ...i don't really believe in them anymore
