A stick could be used as a weapon and that's what makes hockey such a conterversial sport. Durring a physical game, u might get frustrated and so on. When u have a stick in ur hand, alotta bad things can happen. Due to the history of the game, i could understand why the league is strict when it comes to injuries envolving sticks. It's for the saftey of the players. |
so a bat breaks in baseball and it clubs somebody, do you suspend the guy?
if you were to have a gun, and it accidentally discharged and you shot somebody you would get penalized, but not like you would if you intentionally shot somebody.
Youre argument doesnt follow. Why not go after the ice maker, maybe he didnt make the ice properly(it could have been rutted)
