I got a Vestax PMC-270A mixer and I was wondering if anybody else uses one and what does everybody think of it.

The Vastex mixer is the best mixer for doing tricks with the fader... if your into scratching and stuff like that then you have the best mixer around for that!.. Other then that i have no idea.

Your mixer is very UNcompatible for scratching, its CF is very stiff and doesn't have curve control.. it's a great mixer for trance and techno, house also if you put rotary faders on it, but it's definetly not good for scratching.

Ask Sasha about Vestex tables and he'll tell you if they can float, swim or sink

DANG! I envy you all. I went out 2 buy a Vestax270a mixer 3 weeks ago. But they told me it was discontinued. So i had to settle for a 170a. But now i found out that Vestax is re-releasing the 270a mixer with a diffrent type of fader. And i cant return my 170a no more! Oh well...i will just save up for a Pio 600

If you save up for a Pio 600 than you better get a Tascam X9 for the same price...

Yeah...it is
He got some free Vestax tables and after using them at home, and being completely frustrated he just heavied them into the pool/pond next to his house. He ended up having to return them to the company too..haha
I've had numerous house DJ's tell me that they like the vestax more though...so who knows

Re: Yeah...it is
that's not told very well.
I think the story is more like Vestax was sponsoring some festival in the UK, and all the equipment was Vestax. Anyways, so Sasha was headlining the event and prior to the event he received a set a TTs from Vestax.
Anyways so he played really lowsy, couldn't properly mix a song the whole day, so when he got home and realised that he received some, he threw them in the pool..
I'm sure there's a link with the story, my version is kidna cruddy.

If you wanna check out the story, its in an interview on the radio one site. I thought it was both funny and heartbreaking (what a waste).
