I think this is the original from the movie. The trance version ought to be "William Orbit - Barber's adagio for string"

That would be

William Orbit - "Barber's Adagio For Strings" (Ferry Corsten Remix)
William Orbit - "Barber's Adagio For Strings" (ATB Remix)

Just to clear up if somebody's still confused:

William Orbit made year 2000 album called "Pieces In A Modern Style". He did remakes of some centuries(?) old classical "anthems". Tracks were made competely with computer with a "modern touch" but they sounded quite much like the originals. In the movie Platoon there was the real original one, wich has nothing to do with William Orbit. So that would be "Samuel Barber - Adagio For Strings". Of course it may be performed slightly differently by some symphony orchestry just for the movie.

William Orbit's modern remake (not the original classical) was remixed by some trance names like Ferry Corsten and ATB titled as AndiH said. Sometimes with word "barber's", sometimes without.
