yea.. i saw this on the lil newsletter also.

but i think they got the dates wrong. it says saturday march 18, but march 18 is a thursday.

so i think its actually Saturday MARCH 20th .

cant wait.

Yeah, it has to be a mistake and be March 20...

It even says "Saturday, March 18" ... so they got the day of the week right.

i remember the days when we used to complain about the lack of shows in TX, now if only the wallet could keep up. once the tickets are on sale maybe we can set up a quick TA dinner with G & D.

M-bar is a nice place but yeah they do need to get their act together with the sound system. DAMN I wish I could make it to the Zabiela gig and the G&D gig but going to Houston every other week is heavy on the wallet. I will definately make it to G&D.

I'm sure the sound system was alright, but the place just wasn't designed with acoustics in mind. It's a bar, and as nice as it is, Spundae need to toss out the glitz and glamour and get themselves a great sounding venue. Acoustics > Drapes & Curtains

Well, being in an untapped market they need to start out at an established venue where they will make money for the timebeing. If crowds get too hectic, then they'll have to move to a bigger venue...

As for the crowd there, seems awefully dressed up...is it a place full of fakes who go there to be seen and not there for the music? Just curious.

if only we had a House Of Blues in houston, that would be so f*ckin badass...

i honestly think M-Bar is a very nice club, but some factors obviously put a damper on the Spundae Houston parties' true capability.

First of all its 21+, which puts a great number of fans and underagers in the dark when their favorite djs come to town.

Second, the fact that the staff at M-Bar tries to close shop at around 2:30 all the time, really sucks cause now u can't have 3 or 4 hour sets from awesome DJ's unless they start playing at 11 or so, but that would mean there's no time for warm-up djs.

Sound-wise, its not the best, but i think its good enough. The speakers cuttin off durin Ferry was just an overload problem i guess, they figured it out and routed some more power to the speakers. That shouldn't be a problem at future events.

I thought the Ferry party was fuckin awesome. You guys had fun right? That's what matters. We're always tryin to come up with ideas on how to make each event even better then the one before, and having been to like 5 of them already, i can tell ya its not easy.

just keepin comin down to all the parties you can, i mean do u know of any other places around our area that bring people like Tiesto, Digweed, Nick Warren, Ferry, Zabiela, G&D, (Armin & PvD hopefully)....?? exactly. Spundae is what is gonna keep the scene alive down here, so you gotta give the team and Sean A LOT of credit. A couple months ago it was a huge deal when a worthy bigname trance DJ came to Texas at all, and now you got one every freakin weekend.

so Spundae all the way baby. wo0T!
