hey ian... i agree that the socal scene sucks nowadays. if you went to nocturnal then you would totally understand from that weird vibe that was there. but some good dj's still come out here. that's why i agreed to work for puresounds. they're the only company i know that does there best to have a drug-free environment with kick-ass djs. to us it's the music that should move you and nothing else. we're the company that brought tiesto out here for his first LA appearance. check the magik 7 cd and it says recorded at the mayan, LA hosted by puresounds or something like that. i don't actually own the cd so i couldn't tell you. then we brought out robert smit who isn't a big name out in the states but from what i understand he's a real crowdpleaser in his home country of the netherlands. he didn't disappoint us out here!!!! then we brought out david moreno and space but it's too bad that the socal scene is all into drugs and not music cuz no one really appreciated what we were doing. we still had an awesome party but i wish the scene out here was more cognizant of what was going on in europe. now we're bringing out anne saveage, fred numf, and we're in the works for some other big name dj's. also danny tenaglia was out at c2k in vegas the night before nocturnal. you can't knock that. so don't lose heart ian. there are still some good parties if you look for them but i can't argue with you about the scene. just keep searching for the true parties and you'll find 'em. peace!!!!
lost
