I would say that he is a hybrid between the trance we like and psy? Does anyone agree?

you need to listen to more j00f.
If you want some real trance/psy crossover DJs, look to Israel. Robert Gitelman, Gabi Biton, Amir Hamami, Yahel, Idan Gutman

Thanks, I have to admit I know very little about psy trance, it just appeared to me that way

I would actually agree with you on that one, it's not as much a hybrid between trance and psy, its a case of trance with some psy influences.
I saw him at Cream in Feb and he was amazing

its just about any type of trance that has an "underground" feel to it. His tracks aren't the top melody synth strings we listen to... he plays trance with movement.

underground is the right words, thats why his sets are so bloody hard to ID
however, he does play trance with clear psy influences, given he plays stuff like 1200 mics and astral projection

When in doubt, mash all the terms together and you'll get something really warm and special. I like John '00' Fleming's style, and those double zero's too... his White Label Euphorias have showcased some real gems for me.

yeh, he kinda plays watertered down psy which borders a bit wioth progressive. but i liek his style he plays quite a few dark tunes that i play but also a smidgen of techno and a bit of trance, a good veriety.
he is most awesome when he pitches it up a notch and plays more upbeat stuff. i saw him once and he jsut played prog and it was awful.

he's def the perfect hybrid between psy and other genres of trance. For his recent 6 hour sets here in New York he plays about 70% psy and a mix of progressive trance and classics.
