Is it me or does anybody else prefer the older uplifting trance tunes than the newer ones. For example I still believe that Out Of The Blue has not been matched by any other System F production, same for Rank 1's Airwave. The only tunes I really have liked this year are: Urban Train, CRW - After The Rain, Push - The Legacy, Future Breeze - Temple Of Dreams and Silverblue - Step Back.

I guess I prefer the classics over the new ones.. I can't get enough of trax like "Vimana - We Came", "Chakra - Love Shines Through", "Gouryella - Gouryella", "Lange - I Believe", "Tekknova - Last Trip To Paradise", etc.... today there are many many great trax though.. still, nothing beats those great oldies...

some new tunes are great but nothing can beats those classics

maybe in the future "today tunes" will turn into classics but for now i prefer my old favorites tracks ("gouryella" "i believe" "for an angel" etc etc )

I agree with you people. There are some good tunes from this year, but none of them beats the old classics!

the original epic tunes will always be better ....its mainly because at the time it was very innovating sound and new to everyone......now that every beat,bassline,melody,etc. from epic is played out like and re produced over and over again and nothing really new in the epic/melodic scene ...makes many of these tunes now kinda tiring to our eyes and make us not really appreciate them anymore.... and there are just millions of epic tunes comming out at once..and 90% are utter shit!!!! its dissapointing in my eyes...cuz epic was the style that made me fall in love with trance in the first place... and now its just getting too over produced no orignality and its depressing to see that ...mayb thats why im liking progressive so much more now then before and other styles like tech-house,deep house, techno,etc... and mayb its a good thing ..change is always good and brings like to a certain element keeps things alive.... people say trance is dieing i just say its envolving and that makes trance live!!! for ever

there's more to trance than just uplifting trance you know? anyway i do agree with most of you here. the new tunes just don't even compare with the old tunes.

Well, I still like it on the forums... I often visit the Holland Forum. And like TurboGS-R said, it's not all about Uplifting Trance on this site.
But don't you think those Uplifting trance has become too lame, shitty and cheezy? All those crappy melodies which you've heard 10 times before in other songs.

True there is a lot of cheesy fluffy stuff posing as "uplifting trance" these days like Citizen Caned "The Journey" and Barthezz "On The Move" and the best uplifting trance has been done in the late 90's but there is still quality uplifting trance coming out and on a whole it's still definitely favourite genre!
