i soon want te do the same thing as you, producing trance. The roland mc-307 is good stuff, but i found the korg ER-1 also very usefull as drumcomputer. Both don't need a midi keybord, they have a keyboard on board. Looking for a synth on the internet could be helpfull, but i start searching at shops, because i think that each synth has its own sound, and you can't judge the way it works with a picture on internet . I don't use my pc for music, so i cant help you there... I have a demo version of a sampler program, i can send it to you if you like... good luck, Maarten aka DJ Skylz
