don't get them, they suck.. many pro audio dealers won't even carry the B2031s becuase of their poor sound quality.. get Event's instead..

If you are talking about the B2031's then they are not available becuase the B2031As are coming out in a little while so the originals aren't going to be manufactured anymore.

well.. depends what your level of commitment to producing music is. In that price range, I would recommend either the Alesis MKIIs or the Event TR5 or 6.

search "b2031" using the forum search and you'll find an entire thread I started about the B2031s

EDIT

Keep in mind that the TR5s have crappy bass..

I guess your audience ( except us ) don't have expensive monitors so why would you use/buy them for your production?

How long have you been producing?

Monitors are the most imporant part of your studio - they're vital for getting a proper image of your sound so your song will transfer just as well to your "audience's" $15 speakers as they will to your "audience's" $1500 speakers..

Monitors are not meant to sound great (however, often they do) they're meant to give a flat frequency response so no frequncies are over-emphasized in your song..

Good luck trying to get a "pro-sound" without a good pair of studio monitors..

MKIIs are good.. however, there are several other monitors that you can get for $400 a pair (I bought the Event TR6s myself) so if you can, go to a local music store and compare them
