use your ears dont look at the bpms.
most songs that djs spin are going to be 4/4 which means 4 beats to every bar. the progression is factors of 4 so soemthing happens every 4, 16, 32, 48 beats etc... the only way to really match songs with different bpms is if one is like... half the other or a quarter. not just 4 beats per minute faster.
think of it htis way...
if you have soemthing thats 128bpm compared to 64bpm, then everything in the 128bpm will happen twice for every thing that happens in the 64bpm. in other words every other beat matches up and one phrase is always twice as long as the other so the song progression matches up.
if you have 128 compared to 136, then for every 17 beats at 136pbm, there weill be 16 beats at 128 bpm. that probably wouldnt sound very good. youre better off just pitching each track about 3% to get it similar.
try not to get bogged down so much on the actual numbers. most people have been known to cover up the bpm counter. they are rarely ever as acurate as your ears are.
