I've never worried about using multiple tracks by the same artists. If it's good and it flows well, there's no reason not to do so. On a similar note, in the past I was a little sceptical about using the same artist's tracks back-to-back, but not anymore. If you're trying to maintain a certain type of sound or mood, sometimes that's the best way. And half of the time, two or more tracks by the same artist aren't really even similar enough for most folks (without a tracklisting) to know it anyway. So, again--if it's good and it flows well, go for it.
