Sweetchilli turns 3! : the past, the present, the future
Another year another venue!! It seems the only thing we can guarantee is change. Sweetchilli reaches the ripe old age of 3 in April - every birthday is a milestone in clubland and we're ecstatic to have made it this for and even more ecstatic that despite ups and downs the night is still running strong.
We've got a fantastic birthday bash to tell you all about...but first it's worth taking stock of what we've done and some thoughts on what we would like to do.
The last year our hand was forced somewhat with the close of Dendy Bar to the nasty corporate types - on the bright side it pushed us into taking the plunge with some big budget and big risk ventures which can now be credited for being some of the best Sweetchilli's ever - James Holden & Steve Gerard at Gas, Dave Seaman at Space and our joint venture with the Sounds boys - Renaissance.
The future is definitely looking bright and we can tell you that we are working feverishly and putting our names in every hat in order to bring you some of the best DJ/Producer talent in the world. If it was as easy as asking for someone, paying a fee and being done with it then you would already have seen every name you've ever wanted to. Unfortunately it's not - so please stay tuned for some monster parties in the future both with international guest and the very best Sydney and Australia has to offer, starting with our 3rd BIRTHDAY BASH - Friday 23rd April at Suzie Q's.
The champagne will be flowing and the tunes will be stomping with Ben Korbel, Robbie lowe, Crispin, Daniel.C and one of our sweetchilli up and comers Matt rowan. In the funky room which is just awesome at the moment, Jilbert is set to rock it along with Ben Morris who tore the roof off last month, and Finally the alwys impressive and fun Will Styles bringing the funk.
Stay tuned for more details and registration very soon.
