I think it's allright... I meen we're pretty used to it since we have alot of immigrants in Sweden... but since so many understand English even though some people can't speak it really well I belive you can use the English language.

If you want some help just let us know

I wouldn't have anything against it.

If it gets too hard just switch over to english for a while, then try again...

Systembolaget is okay once you're 20..

as i've experienced it people are FAR more friendly and open to you when you speak their native language altough most of the Swedes have no problems at all with the English language

I also use an US keyboard.

In WinXP:
Go to configuration panel -> national/local settings -> 2nd tab (language) -> information

Make sure language is English or Swedish and set the keyboard mapping to US International (101/104).

You might have to reboot but after that you can use:
"+a = ä
"+o = ö
ctrl-alt-w = å

you can even use them for other special characters
"+e = ë ; "+i=ī ; "+u=ü ; "+y=˙
ctrl-alt-z = æ ; ctrl-alt-k = ø ; ctrl-alt-s = ß

adding SHIFT to the combination will give the capital version
Ä Ö Å Ø Æ ß Ī Ü

yea it sucks.... but then again you only have 1 form for every person.

I am / Jag är
He is / Han är
We are / Vi är

I have / Jag har
He has / Han har
We have / Vi har

yes..swedish is easier compared to spanish and german when it comes to verb in present time

german / spanish
Ich bin / Soy
Du bist / Eres
Er, Sie, Es ist / Es

Wir sind / Somos
Ihr seid / Sois
Sie sind / Son
