This is a long post but try and read it if u can it'll be worth it i promise!

people who piss me off the most are people who think they know loads about trance and dance when they know fuck all. i had a friend who told me that he was into dance/hard house and trance and that he was thinking of buying agressive euphoria by john 00 fleemting! when he meant progressive euphoria by john 00 fleming. he didn't even know what progressive meant and then i asked him if he was into commercail or underground trance and he wasn't even sure what underground meant. So i explained it to him and he said "oh yeah, u mean stuff like darude and ian van something" then i told him some of the artists that i was into like lost witness and tiesto etc.... and he'd never heard of them. then when i went round his house a week later he put on this shit cd with waterfall and dolphin noises on it along with his collection of barry white! these kind of people really piss me of. lots of people who claim to like dance actually listen to some commercial garage shit which just damages the scene. my best friend also claims he likes dance when the only dance album he has is the ministry of sound album 99! he hasn't brought anything since then but a load of indie and rock shit. in 1999 he was into trance a lot and he could have become a ta but since then he went through a phaze where he liked rap and even learned all the lyrics to nearly all the songs on dr dre's 2001 album. every time i went round his house he blasted this rap bollocks and started trying to teach me the lyrics! and since then he never really listens to dance at all now. his music style seems to be getting worse and worse. he's now into heavy metal and punk and has just brought the kerrang album! (kerrang=a heavy metal magazine) and he's even tryong to convert me into this style of music. when i told him that its all just noise he thinks that my opinions of it are really funny. the worst thing of all is that he obviously doesn't like trance/dance but he claims he does. whenever he comes round my house he searches through my 50 trance cd singles 5-6 vinyls and 15-20 albums and 3-4 rap/rock albums and puts something like eminem on! (the reason i have rock/rap albums is that i was stupid enough to follow his tastes of music once which iam v. ashamed of now and never listen to!) he says that he really likes trance and that one day he wants to make a trance tune with me and try and get it released and at the same time he's blasting marylin manson through his stereo and asking me what mixing means and how you make trance music and asking me if i wanna go to a hip-hop night with him!

LMFAO that was funny! i think we should go and harras her some more! throw everything of the shelves so she actually does some work and earns what she's worth rather than just standing there grinning insanely at costomers!

Why should you get angry? It's just his musical taste sucks big time, One of my best friends is crazy for POP shit like Back street boys or B. Spears, she's 20 something and her musical taste is the one of a 12 year old. But instead of latting that piss me off, i just tell her "girl when I'm at your place...respect, no pop things for me" and we listen to nothing (I'm not risking my cd collection with her, she'd prolly just try to remix Nsync with a PVD song).

well actually that cd i brought was total bollocks! it was just some crap baseline some bell sounds and a really annoying women moaning 'rock da bells constantly! total bullshit! the quicksilver remix was bad also which suprised me. yevat said i he would have killed you if he brought it now ive told him its crap! the stargoer ep and the space brothers promo were cool though. i had a feeling that your sasha cd was going to be a bit boring, thats what his sets are like. are u going to town on wednesday with me & tavey?

heheh...i wouldn't get angry, but it sumtimes gets irritating...im no trance guru, every now and then i'll meet sum1 that says "oh yeah, trance is cool, i like it sooooo much, i have tons of it too!!"..and then, later, u go over to their house or they bring sum of their CDs and ALL they EVER HAVE is r&b, rap, country or hip-hop....but no trance AT ALL...i dont have anything against those styles of music, but it gets irritating when ppl. try to act like they're totally into trance when they're really not into it at all

There's no need to express an angry attitude towards them... IMHO, if you start blasting off at someone for thier musical taste, that is what makes the situation bad.

This sorta shit happens w/alotta different music styles, just so people can "fit in" or whatever.
