NPR usually does a bunch of interviews (these are 30 minute long interviews mind you, not 30 second soundbites) on some of its shows where the interviewer also answers calls from the audience. Typically it's fairly enlightening. They just interviewed an embedded journalist yesterday that I found to be pretty interesting. You might have to search around a bit in one of it's programs (morning edition, talk of the nation, etc.) to find the one I'm talking about, but all in all it's a good source if you want something more in-depth than tv news.
