Tonight, we bring you the tougher side of house with techno and acid house leanings. Former Underworld DJ DARREN EMERSON, forged out on his own and becoming one of the most sought after DJs and head of well-respected label Underwater Records. The first album Underwater was a compilation mixed by Emerson and his young protégé Tim Deluxe last summer. This June 2004, look for Episode 2 mixed by Emerson and Mutiny. Darren continues to bring his touch, techy sound across the globe. His Underwater nights at Pacha Ibiza have become world renown winning Best Ibiza Club Award at the Muzik Awards.

JOSH WINK brings his trademark mix of house and techno on which he has built his international reputation. As label owner of Ovum Recordings and as a prolific producer, remixer & artist, Josh recently released Profound Sounds V2 on Ovum Recordings/System Recordings. PS2 is an “artist” album that contains re-edited & re-mixed tracks all mixed live with effect units and samplers. His latest EP ’20 to 20’ brings us back to our acid house roots and tonight we should be treated to a mélange of house, techno, acid house mixed together with that special Wink touch.

Go read the reviews from the past couple of TA-friendly events including Gabriel & Dresden and Junkie XL.

Do your homework online or go experience it for yourself - clubbing is a participatory activity. Don't rely on message boards, go form an opinion!

i do go there.....and not many people will disagree with me when i say its the worst club in NYC,,,the only saving grace is that the doormen are reasonable......i would not dare criticise anything without witnessing it first hand..its a shame,,cos its a nice venue...instead of having a pop at me i suggest you do a bit of research..go see what the majority of people think of the whole Avalon experience...im the only one on here whos got the bollocks to stand up and say what i think and i refuse to kiss ass....

1 the majority of people say the sound system is shite
2 the place is dangerously hot
3 waiting in line for 2 hours is no fun
4 the place is always too full, cut down on the numbers now and it may save a life in the future

i know its a business and your there to make money putting the dollar in front of the health and safety of your customers,,takes the piss....

if your going for wink, dont go!!!!!!!! i saw him 2 weeks ago here in atlanta and it was the biggest disappointment i have ever had...he was just terrible the entire time!!!!!!!!!!!

most djs suck big time...

such a simple task yet

steven read this too heh. it HAS gotten better, but there's always room for improvement too. the big test is what happens at tiesto.

the thing is Sal,,if someone keels over at Tiesto,,it will be too late......Whats the water situation there aswell sal....do they leave the cold water on in the restrooms.....

i haven't gone to the bathrooms to fill up but my friends have done it before and it's definitely cold water... i still don't know where the main bathroom is (besides the one in the back near the hip-hop room). does someone happen to have an architectural schematic of avalon? that would help so much, cuz i want to find the bathroom with all the lights leading up to it
