not sure if i'm in the right forum but...

saw that april fools virus alert for the first time and went about +r'ing a couple of folders worth of files, clicked on the link, and saw the fake alert :P

but is there any other reason why +r'ing files is a good idea from any other point of view?

i'm well up on my puters...so I'm thinking of hostile scripts from kazaa, and anything else that actually could damage files, just wondering
