Armin Van Buuren-ASOT review in DJMAG...

i ve just red the review and it says, "You could almost pass this cd off as progressive- you can really imagine sasha or john digweed playing this kind of set. In fact, this is on par with Paul oakenfold's "New York GU", and thats a fucking massive compliment. Its basically driving melodic trance for that 3am rush-nothing too epic just quality ecstasy music.Nice work"
score:4.5/5

Ok, probably he is talking about the second cd as the first one is full of epic trash( with massive exception "tranquility", "sahara" and "spiral" which have heavenly melodies). The second cd is another story though...

Play along the lines of Sasha & Digweed? That's bullshit.

Thats what i thought myself, i mean even the 2nd cd is more melodic and trancey than any digweed and sasha stuff. Maybe with markus schulz

perhaps it's a little progressive, as that's the way the trance scene tends to be flowing but no where near the likes and styles of digweed and sasha, or even oakenfold.

Sasha & Digweed venture into other genres besides progressive though, Sasha moreso than Digweed. Armin is playing Markus Schulz's "McProg" styled stuff.
