I'm freaking out PLEASE help me

I sent my 1200's UPS in a dj case with foam and all...

They just arrived and the tone arms seem totally fucked...

With the weights on, they swing back to the right. With the weights
off they hardly move at all... they definately don't act the
way they did before I shipped them. They don't have the bounce
that they had before... I tried adjusting the anti-skate and the
heights... no luck...

I'm freaking out... are my tone arms busted?

it does sound like your tonearm's antiskate may be jacked up. I never messed w/ fixing that before so all i can say is find out how much a new tonearm will cost to replace and file a damage report w/ UPS. I hope you paid the extra for insurance.

let me try to further clarify the problem...

with one table, the tone arm swings strongly to the right

with the other, when the tone arm is to the right of the table,
it swings to the left, and when it's towards the middle of the table,
it swings to the right (it moves towards a center point)

i tried adjusting the antiskate... no dice

Ok i think i solved it.

LESSON LEARNED:

WHEN YOU SHIP TT'S, THE TORQUE GETS OUT OF WACK.

YOU CAN FIX THIS BY ADJUSTING THE TWO SCREWS ON TOP
OF THE TONE ARM.

happened to mine too man, sorry i wasnt able to read this thread till now.. yep could have told you. take something like a really skinny flathead screwdriver and unscrew that small screw at the top... adjust the arm then screw it into place.. will work perfect after that.
