software/hardware problems?

bought 2 numark axis 9's on 30th April, and 5 days later a fault appeared, when i put the deck into scratch mode, sometimes it froze and wouldnt play at all whilst in scratch mode. I sent it back and sapphires sent me a new deck, and 3 days later a similar fault occured, but this time evenen stranger things were happening. When i touched the cross fader on my mixer, the deck would freeze and play all by itself and when i put my hands on the unit it would be ok, very odd indeed. I have contacted sapphires and they will take them back, no probs, and i am going to get the denons instead. Just before i sent them back i thought id give it one last go, just to be sure, and as i noticed that where everything is plugged in, theres a four way plug that goes into the wallsocket, one of the decks was plugged into it, as well a flexi cord plug lead that can have four items plugged into it, of which i had the other deck, mixer, amp and an alarm clock. Now i'm thinking that maybe, a current issue maybe the reason for messing up my decks software as i had one deck plugged in to socket and one plugged into a flexi lead, which was attached to the socket, damn that took some explaining. Any feedback on simialar problems would be of help, thanks.

thats a poiint, the software in it might have fucked... have you tried doing the software upgrade for it? go to the numark website, you have to download something, then burn it as an audio cd, and switch it on holding the prog button or something...

I had the same problem w/ the axis 9 from when i had them last october. I believed they have addressed that issue with a new firmware that is right here

(here's firmware for both axis 8, axis 9, and cdn90)

thanks for that, i already have played those two files, in the cd players but still no effect to one of the players. Had two bad experiences with them now, so am going to try denon, hopefully they'll be ok.
