well i was in the middle of making my new demo mix which i haven't made for 5 months, and boom my right cup goes out.
nothing i do gets it back.
i took off the jack and put it in my computer. yup the right cup is definitely broken. piece of crap made in china.
well i guess i shouldn't have expected any quality from something that costs, ohhh, $150.
i'm gonna call pioneer tomorrow and bitch.
i treated these things like my own baby. (even better...would i polish a baby?)
sorry to hear that. I had weird experiences w/ a friend's pair of hdj1000s, everytime you walked on the carpet and generated static it would play through the main speakers. I've noticed that happen different times on different mixers, one vestax, one rane, and one numark. have you had the same problems?
Anyways, I hope pioneer will take care of that for you. Good luck!

the sound quality is the best i've heard, and the comfort is wonderful. i also love how they swivel.
i had never heard of this problem. true i did get them over a year ago when they were still fairly new though...
God i hope i don't end up having to pay another $150 for a pair. if i was smart i would have bought insurance for them.
Funny -- mine died last week the same way. I was practicing up for a show and one side just went. I ended up buying a new pair since I loved them so much. Sucks that they broke but the ear pads on the new ones are nice and soft... :-) I didn’t realize they lose their softness over time.

Sennheiser hd-280 are some great sounding phones' Only bad thing: you look like lemon head with them on.

the exact same thing happened to mine.
the right ear just cut out and didn'y come back on. I sent them back and now have a new pair. This is my 4th pair of pioneers, all because they keep breaking, and the shop won't give me a refund as I've lost my receipt.
they are brilliant headphones tho.
