Equipment

My roommate and I are both very interested in picking up some equipment to fool around with and eventually DJ some parties.

We have no expirience with mixing at all, but we would really like to start.

What should we look at as good beginner equipment. We were looking at vinal turntables, but the temptation is to get some CD turntables (we are poor) and just jump straight to that.

Anybody have any advice?

i wouldnt say that.. in theory you are right but cheaper cd decks are better than cheaper turntables if you get what i mean...

As long as they have pitch control and are direct drive, any pair of turntables will work fine. Also, any two channel mixer will work... but you'll want EQs if you eventually want to sound at all professional.

What are you waiting for? Get out there
